Summary of Events

  • 24 hours later, still no word on PM Hamdok's alleged resignation, which was reported to be announced via televised press conference yesterday.

  • The Sudan Doctors Committee has reported a total of 49 victims in the recent violence that has ravaged North Darfur. The committee said it is difficult for those affected to reach healthcare facilities because of continued insecurity, so these numbers are likely to be higher.

  • A group of over 20 civil society organizations and resistance committees are set to protest in Khartoum tomorrow, denouncing violence against women after the recent news that at least 2 women were sexually assaulted by #SudanCoup forces during #Dec19March in Khartoum on Sunday.

  • Protests continued in various parts of the country, many calling for participation in #Dec25March. In Port Sudan, students of Sudan University of Technology barricaded the city's Eastern Bridge to demand better services for students, including lodging.
