Want to organise a local fundraiser?
If you’re a student or active in your local community, organising a fundraiser is a powerful and impactful way to support Sudanese people through the April 2023 conflict. Volunteers have created a resource pack with templates, mailing lists and useful social media assets below.
You want to hold a Solidarity Protest in your local area? Fantastic. You’ve come to the right place for all your Diaspora protest needs.

The first thing to do is pick the time and place for your solidarity protest. Are you lining it up with a millions march in Sudan? Perfect. Is it a regular reminder outside the Sudanese Embassy? Fantastic. Lock it in, and make sure you get the right permissions, if required.

You will need to let people know! Make a poster, share it online and send it through to your community. Let us know as well, via info@sudancoup.com
Having trouble creating a poster? Don’t worry, we got you! Scroll down for the Poster Creation Form; fill in the event details and we will email back a completed poster inshallah.
-
Do you know what the demands of the protestors are? Do you have a poster or sign to take with you? Perhaps even a Sudanese Flag?
Scroll down for some sign suggestions, as well as a reminder of the demands from the people on the streets. Let’s remind ourselves what this fight is for!

Yallah, let’s chant!
The protests work best when you have a variety of chants to choose from. We’ve included some of the classics below, and will update as we go along. If you know of a choice chant we haven’t included, send us an email on info@sudancoup.com
Also remember, it is useful to have some chants + posters in the language of the city you are protesting in (English in London, French in Paris, etc) as that helps bystanders learn about what is going on… and maybe even get involved!
