Summary of Events
Residents of Keilak Locality in West Kordofan came out in protest and barricaded streets today against the lack of drinking water in the area.
Protests took place in several parts of the country, including Atbara and Gedarif, where teachers came out to demand the implementation of sentencing against the convicted murderers of Ahmed Elkhair, who was killed by authorities in 2019.
In Omdurman, a one day sit-in was held in honor of the late Mohamed Yousif, who was killed by #SudanCoup forces on Jan 30. The peaceful sit-in, which gathered hundreds from across the Omdurman area, was violently dispersed by authorities, who fired teargas and live ammunition.
In the latest attempt by #SudanCoup authorities to drive Sudan back to its pre-revolution state, the acting Minister of Higher Education (appointed by Burhan) released a directive reinstating all those dismissed by the anti-corruption and disempowerment committee.
