Day 115 of the Military Coup
Summary of Events
The Emergency Lawyers organization in Khartoum staged a silent protest in front of the Human Rights Commission today demanding an end to the arbitrary arrest and unlawful detention of citizens by #SudanCoup forces. Women in Omdurman also staged a protest today demanding the same.
A reminder that over 100 people imprisoned in Khartoum have completed their third day of hunger strike in protest against their unlawful detention. Many have been subjected to torture while in detention, including 17 year old Mohamed Adam, who was arrested with several others on Jan 15 and falsely accused of the murder of a police brigadier. In an interview, his mother said nails were driven into his legs.
