Day 119 of the Military Coup
Summary of Events
Demonstrations rejecting #SudanCoup and military rule took place in several cities today, including Khartoum, AlManagil, Gedarif and ElObeid. These demonstrations come one day before #Feb21March, the 20th round of nationwide protests since the military took power on October 25, 2021.
As always, protests in Khartoum were suppressed by #SudanCoup authorities, using all the usual methods. The Sudan Doctors Committee reported a total of 92 casualties in today's demonstrations in Khartoum, including 2 protesters who sustained gunshot injuries and 3 attempted to be run over by #SudanCoup vehicles.
Tragically, the violence of authorities also led to the death of 51 year old Faisal Abdelrahim, a patient at Bahri Teaching Hospital who stepped out on the balcony of his ward to get some fresh air from when he was hit by a stray bullet fired by #SudanCoup forces.
