In an interview with Bloomberg, Minister of Finance Jibril Ibrahim said Sudan has "scrapped" its economic growth targets for 2022. This after international funds were suspended in the aftermath of #SudanCoup. Sudan is currently asking Gulf allies to provide financial support "as it weighs tax increases and subsidy cuts".
#SudanCoup forces fired teargas at a political forum held in Khartoum this evening hosting several former ministers from the FFC.
Resistance activities continue across the country gearing up for #Dec19March, including silent protests and neighborhood protests.
A women's demonstration is planned for December 19, part of an initiative called #JoinTheCommittee to encourage women's participation in resistance committees and underscore the importance of women's presence in local and national governance structures.
The Sudan Council of Ministers declared December 19 a national holiday "commemorating the December Revolution."
German news outlet DW published a report (on December 14) that the Sudanese military used anti-aircraft weapons on peaceful protesters.
