Protesters in Northern State announced the resumption of their sit-in blocking the Sudan-Egypt highway until #SudanCoup authorities follow through on canceling the electricity tariff increase nationwide.
In the aftermath of yesterday's arrest campaign, a protest of medical professionals took place in Khartoum today, denouncing the continued violations committed by #SudanCoup forces, in particular the raiding of hospitals and the arrest of injured citizens.
The country is gearing up for #Jan17March, Sudan's 14th round of nationwide mass demonstrations against #SudanCoup. Many are apprehensive considering authorities closed Khartoum's AlJazeera Live office yesterday; in the absence of the watchful eye of international media, increased brutality is expected. Authorities are also expected to cut off internet access and telecom services ahead of demonstrations tomorrow.
