Day 93 of the Military Coup

Summary of Events

• In response to yesterday's violence by #SudanCoup forces, neighborhoods in Khartoum and Atbara were barricaded by their residents. Medani also held a civil disobedience in response to the murder of Gasim Mohamed.

• Sudan Doctors Committee reported 169 people injured in yesterday's demonstrations in the country, including 32 gunshot injuries (2 remain unstable).

• Bahri Resistance Committees announced today their own draft political charter, which they will soon present to the nation.

• Residents of Northern State announced a state of lockdown, with barricades not only along the Sudan-Egypt highway, but also along the highway connecting Meroe, Atbara, Khartoum and Port Sudan, cutting off access to Dongola.

• The Northern State Farmers Association has added 8 new demands as an escalation of resistance against #SudanCoup, including the formation of a stock market for date production, and for state's rights to determine the prices of dates and minerals (e.g. gold).
